Graded MINT 9 by PSA. The featured collectible is the ONE AND ONLY example graded MINT 9 and is in fact just 1 of 2 copies within the entire content of the issue that has been rewarded with the exceptional and nearly astonishing grade of MINT 9 with no qualifiers! 1914 Cracker Jacks are amongst the most fragile and condition sensitive issues within our hobby as they were printed on a "stock" that more resembled a lightweight construction paper rather than cardboard, and unlike the 1915 release they were only available via the box, thus accounting for the majority of cards showing signs of staining. The offered example is a true stunner, providing the enthusiast a scintillating appearance with a blood red background surrounding the ballplayer's image. The four corners show no hint of wear and seemingly contain the amazingly well-centered interior of the card. The reverse appears as though it was printed just yesterday with a bold deeply blacked bio set fourth against the opaque white stock. A dream card offered at the very height of the opined MINT grade.
