Sweet Cracker Jack perfection! The presented 1914 copy of Connie Mack showcases an uncommonly equidistant set of predominantly clean off-white borders around a sensationally MINT image. Only 2 examples from the entire 144-card set have ever graded higher than NM/MT 8 from PSA, but this Mack makes a strong argument for consideration as the third. A microscopically upturned NM/MT bottom right corner is the only point around the perimeter that doesn't at least qualify for NM/MT+ status, showing the slightest of touches that is barely perceptible sans magnification. Borders are largely print-free to the naked eye, with a single red dot in the top border and a minuscule wispy red protrusion in the right border near Cornelius' left shoulder. The reverse, while well-struck in scintillating black ink, does display a few mild and completely tolerable instances of caramel staining, which should provide a degree of reassurance that this delicate treasure was, indeed, pulled from a package of "The Famous Popcorn Confection" nearly a century ago. Presenting with the utmost visual appeal and quite possibly deserving of another pass through the PSA grading gauntlet, this tremendous relic will make you the envy of your esteemed collecting colleagues and is absolutely worthy of inclusion in any truly world-class pre-war Hall of Fame collection.
