An exhaustive compilation that represents untold time and effort from our consignor, the offered lot is a spectacular 1911 T201 Mecca Double Folders complete set, with each of the 50 cards graded and encapsulated by PSA or SGC. A long-time favorite among pre-war collectors, the issue featured 100 players of the period, including many stars and potential Hall of Famers, on 50 pasteboards, with two players on each card sharing the same pair of legs. The offered conglomeration consists of many fresh examples that show vibrant colors and above-grade corners, perhaps with small wrinkles or centering variances that affect the given technical grade. The set has an overall GPA of 3.96 and features a PSA 5 EX example of Mathewson/Bridwell as well as Chance/Evers. In all, there are 2 cards graded PSA 7 NM, 9 cards graded PSA 5 EX or SGC 60, 4 cards graded PSA 4.5 VG/EX+, 22 cards graded PSA 4 VG/EX or SGC 50, 1 card graded PSA 3.5 VG+, 5 cards graded PSA 3 VG or SGC 40, 1 card graded PSA 2.5 GOOD+, and 6 cards graded PSA 2 GOOD.
