Nearly a decade before being named as a co-conspirator in the infamous 1919 Black Sox scandal, Chick Gandil is featured on this Piedmont backed T206 card, graded SGC 80 EX/MT 6. True EX/MT corners and edges wrap around a sensationally presented obverse, proclaiming a noticeably bold image of the "Master of Ceremonies." Gandil once served a 5-game suspension for decking an umpire over a disputed call in that same 1919 season, so needless to say he had seen better days.
