Joined by Tris Speaker and Cy Young in the second induction class to baseball's Hall of Fame, Napoleon Lajoie was the undisputed king of the diamond in his prime. From 1900-1904, Nap batted a combined .383 and won the batting title each year, including a Triple Crown season in 1901 when he hit 14 homers, drove in 125 runs and batted a whopping .426, the highest average ever recorded in the 20th Century. Lajoie's baseball brilliance landed him a spot in the exclusive E93 Standard Caramel series and the featured prize is one of only three to earn a grade of PSA 8 with none graded higher. An overwhelming avalanche of deep magenta surrounds a super-sharp image of the Cleveland superstar, made more robust by the intense brightness of the like-new border. The perimeter teeters on MINT status to offset the subtle centering shift toward the right side, a common occurrence with the E93 series. This is the kind of card tailor made for an elite collection!
