From 1906-1911, Mordecai "Three Finger" Brown was perhaps the most successful pitcher in all of baseball. Brown posted a combined 148-55 record for Chicago with a 1.66 ERA during that span, leading the Cubbies to World Series victories in 1907 and 1908. Brown's diamond dominance made it an easy decision for the Standard Caramel company to include him in their exclusive 30-card series. The featured item has defied all odds to register a grade of PSA 8, the only specimen at that level with just a lone specimen graded higher. Deep green and subtle yellow intertwine to deliver a watercolor-like backdrop, supporting the well-registered image of Brown as he peers toward the next victim. The centering is very accurate for the issue and the top corners border on MINT status. Another incredible GEM from the top-end of the PSA population report!
