Graded Excellent 5 by PSA, this is the much sought after E95 Philadelphia Caramel card of Hall of Fame pitcher Eddie Plank. The offered card is an exceptional copy, and also of one of Plank's most important cards. Plank is most certainly one of the keys within this rare caramel card set issued in 1909 by the Camden, New Jersey based company. The image of Eddie Plank boasts a much better appearance than suggested by its technical grade of Excellent. The card is fresh and clean looking, with bold color, and phenomenal overall aesthetics. The corners are strong for the grade with a checklist style reverse that exhibits a solid printing, and is problem free overall. It is important to note that the image on this card is the identical image used to produce the vaunted T206 Plank tobacco card, which is one of the most important cards ever made.
