While the T206 Honus Wagner is the king of all tobacco cards, it's the infamous Joe Jackson's iconic 1909 E90-1 pasteboard that rules the caramel realm. Shoeless Joe was still relatively unknown during the 1909-1911 era of the T206 collection and appears as a major-leaguer on very few cards, but his lifetime .356 batting average, third all-time behind Ty Cobb and Rogers Hornsby, as well as his unceremonious banishment from baseball for his alleged involvement in the Black Sox conspiracy, makes his E90-1 rookie card one of the most coveted turn of the century cards ever produced. Offered is an extremely presentable example, assessed as AUTHENTIC and not offered a numerical grade as it was deemed altered in the upper right and left corners of the central image. Exceptionally well centered with deep, vibrant color and a focused image of the tragic star. Each of the four corners show VG level handling, resulting in even wear that seemingly define this tremendous card. The reverse is well printed and void of any staining or disturbances.
