At first glance, I thought it had to be a mistake that this T206 Ty Cobb "bat off shoulder" card was only graded an SGC 5. And after carefully looking it over and accounting for the mild centering shift and slight printing fading on the reverse, we have to admit that the grade is technically accurate by the letter of the law. But the central image color and sharpness, bursting forth with a whole spectrum of clean, bold pigmentation, teamed with clearly above-grade edges and endpoints, make it one of the finest examples that you'll ever see at this grade level. If you've been looking for one at a mid-level grade, you should go strongly after this one.
