Only 21 years old, Cobb was coming off a season where he led the American League in hits, doubles, triples, runs batted in, and batting average (his 2nd AL batting title on his way to 9 consecutive crowns and 12 titles over 13 seasons). Sporting the slightly more difficult Polar Bear reverse, presented is one of the most important issues in the expansive T206 collection; the "red background" variation of "The Georgia Peach." The centering is lightly positioned toward the right edge and the corners are consistently rounded so as to not take your attention off of the regal image of Cobb and that deep blood-red backdrop. The dark Polar Bear reverse is boldly-printed as well. This card can be a cornerstone of any advanced collection.
