Hall of Famer Hugh Duffy put up some impressive numbers as a player in the late 19th century, including a league-leading .440 batting average, 51 doubles, and 18 home runs for the Boston Beaneaters in 1894. Duffy is presented on this T206 tobacco card as a manager of the Chicago White Sox, graded VG/EX 4 by PSA. Outstanding centering and reasonably sharp corners make the grade seem too conservative, especially factoring in the vibrant background colors and crisp detail of the image.
