One of the most dominant pitchers of his day whose life was cut short by meningitis at age 31, Hall of Fame hurler Addie Joss ranks #2 all-time with a 1.89 ERA and is responsible for pitching the fourth perfect game in major league history. Joss appears on this PSA 8 graded "portrait' variation of his T206 card with just 3 registered as having graded higher. This specimen boasts NM/MT qualities throughout, with an exceptionally appealing image set against a near immaculate lemon candy backdrop. The centering shows a tolerable preference for the top edge, a minor concern easily overshadowed by a delightfully powerful print registration that results in an unbelievably strong contrast for the issue.
