Syd Smith spent several years bouncing between the minors and the big leagues, logging time from 1904-1917. He has a few different cards from the T206 issue, not the least of which is a Southern League Old Mill card from his playing days with the Atlanta Crackers. Offered here is a tremendous example, graded 96 MINT 9 by the stringent evaluators at SGC. Not surprisingly, this is the only example in the distinguished grade, earning the designation by virtue of excellent centering, untouched corners and an unbelievably fresh appearance. Colors remain bold and vivid, and the level of detail in the central image is astonishing.
