Released in 1904 as the issue of "Jake Stenzel B. B. Exchange located opposite the ball park," the complete checklist for Stentzel's Rooter Buttons may never be confirmed. It was thought to be a 10-button collection until the finds of Cy Seymour and Cozy Dolan moved the total to 12, and this newly discovered Tommy Corcoran button, the only one known to exist, now bumps the total to 13. Like most surviving members of this series, the button shows considerable discoloration and the the paper lining on the reverse is long gone, but how often do you get to acquire a truly one of a kind item only thought to exist until recently?
