Though he trailed slightly in the popular vote, Benjamin Harrison defeated sitting President Grover Cleveland to become the 23rd President of the United States, a title he would relinquish back to Cleveland four years later. The featured ticket admitted one to the 1889 Inaugural ball, which was particularly interesting because Harrison's grandfather, William Henry Harrison, gave the longest speech in history during a driving rain at his inauguration and died of pneumonia a month later. Benjamin fared slightly better. PSA authenticated.
