Appearing in street clothes on this sharp N172 Old Judge card, manager Jim Mutrie guided the New York Giants to back to back championships in 1888 and 1889. This classic is graded SGC 50 VG/EX 4 and, while graded high for the series, appears even stronger than the grade suggests. Sporting the common pinkish hue, the centering is spot on and the perimeter is perfectly rectangular and above grade. If you always wanted a solid representation of an Old Judge card, this would be a good one.
