A variation that, until recently, was to the best of our knowledge uncatalogued as a PSA 1 sold for nearly $1,800.00. The extensive Old Judge book by Jay Miller and Richard Masson doesn't list this card and the offered example most likely is the highest graded copy within the hobby. A pleasing and well defined image is the very first attribute encountered by the enthusiast who is further smitten by the four upper end EX/MT or better corners, the lower edge does exhibit an irregular cut but the astute graders saw past this and correctly graded the card. The reverse shows signs of an indention, a facet that plagues many of these N172's. A rare opportunity to acquire this exceptionally difficult pasteboard.
