Four different variations of Chief Zimmer's card were released by Old Judge in 1887, and not a single specimen of any of them come remotely close to the EX/MT grade earned here. Very nicely framed and retaining its sharp, rectangular shape, this beauty is a remarkable survivor of almost 130 years of wear and tear. Even the central image of Zimmer, which can vary greatly on Old Judge cards, is particularly bold and well-preserved. An incredible relic from the early days of baseball!
