Proudly offered is this gorgeous 19th Century scorecard printed for Boston's meeting with Philadelphia. The scorecard is completely scored and filled out for both clubs and the overall condition is GD/VG. The scorecard dates back to the late 1880s and presents incredibly well. The bold original colors of the illustration remain vibrant, especially when considering the age of this very rare piece of baseball history which portrays the image of an outfielder bare-handing a ball, and titled: "Home Run Spoiled" across the bottom portion of the image. The center fold line is partially broken yet remains solid, and there is a 3-inch tear on the reverse being held together by a tiny piece of tape. There are some minor tears along the edges, which do not interfere with the central image or appeal of this ancient relic of sorts. Notable players on both teams are "Old Hoss" Radbourn of Boston and Joe Mulvey of Philadelphia.
